After today's parents' meeting, I sensed that my once motivated students lost motivation under the excessive pressure of preparation of SAT along with all loads of other school work. If the specification above applies to you, dear student, then I need to remind you once again to close your eyes for a moment and set your imagination free. Imagine yourself at your best, a post-graduate who's accomplished and confident. Imagine all the happiness, satisfaction, and delight you feel once you achieved what you're striving to achieve. It is worth it. All the hard work is worth the embrace that you're going to give your future self. Don't allow anything to stand in between. You know you can do it, and you will make it.
At the beginning of the year, I wrote something for you, that, I assume, not many have gotten the chance to read. For that reason, I am going to post it here again for you. This is taken from the personal message I left on my classroom's website. Here I share it with you, hoping that once you read it, you tuck all your fears, hesitation, and desperation in bed and kiss them a good night sleep, a sleep that they won't awake from until all is behind you.

Motivated students who seek knowledge and literacy are those who believe they can make a change in themselves and in the environment around them. They are those who believe they can do it no matter how unlikely or unpromising the situation may be. In fact, they believe they can because they know “they are what they believe. If they believe they can, then THEY CAN. If they believe they can’t, this is when they cease to improve and to progress.” Thus, it all start with one word: believe in yourself. Believe in your potentials and in your capability to change anything you would like to change. Eventually, it will all come down again to one keyword: BELIEVE and you will be.
These students, as a matter of fact, are what gets me out of my cozy bed in the morning because, in turn, I believe in them. I also do believe that together with them, we can make miracles come true. Nothing stands in the face of true and genuine will to embrace the world with faith and motivation. These young souls are my motivation to go on with my mission as an educator who seeks to effect change in the lives of these young learners, who, in return, will touch the world with their positivity and ambition.
